Converting & Automotive are the two main sectors of Olbrich´s activities. 

The Converting Department is the origin of Olbrich´s activities in the field of mechanical engineering and mainly deals with the four sectors:

• Floor Covering
• Wallpaper
• Technical Textiles
• Films     
            - decorative film
            - adhesive tapes
            - medical films
  

Coating lines, laminating lines and embossing lines for a variety of processes and applications are designed, built and commissioned.

In the early 1980s, as a result of the Borgers Group core business, namely the production of textile acoustics and trim parts for car interiors and exteriors, Olbrich started to design and construct presses, cutting dies and laminating lines as well as moulds and tools. Out of these activities grew the Automotive Department, which today is a system supplier for all the well-known automotive manufacturers.
